Positive Reinforcement

It's normal for a student to get 3 stars, or 5 stars for his work.. But my cousin got 30 stars! I found it quite interesting the way the teacher try to motivate her students. But 30 stars? The teacher must have so much free time to draw all the stars.. or maybe, she just love stars.

The problem with positive reinforcement is you need to keep it up.
Will this teacher do it again the next time?
I dont think so!

I agree with you ah kam. Positive reinforcement is good, only if the teacher can keep it up.

What happen if the students didn’t get the 30 stars like before though they did a good job in their work? They might think “huuu..is my work not enough?” or “wuu..the teacher does not love me anymore” I believe this could affect their motivation. They’re small kids and we should not expect them to understand that their teacher might have been busy that week.

Azmyrax: Perli? I know you love to draw. But draw 3-5 stars is enough.. Don’t have to draw so many stars on students’ book.. ;-p
